About Me

My name is Billy Kerbel, and I’m a self-taught folk musician who writes songs from the heart. Influenced by artists like Jack Johnson, the Grateful Dead, Father John Misty, and poets like David Whyte, I aim to capture a blend of laid-back warmth, lyrical depth, and soulful insight. My goal is simply to create the music I feel should exist—without worrying about algorithms or the changing tides of social media.

I haven’t played any major stages yet, but to me, what really matters is connecting with listeners who resonate with my sound. Each song is a personal reflection, and I hope it sparks something meaningful in whoever hears it. At the end of the day, I just want to make and share good music that stands on its own terms—raw, honest, and true to my heart

My first project ‘Songs For Friends’ is available now on all streaming platforms. You can listen to it here.
